For the first time, the German Football Museum in the heart of the Ruhr region is dedicating an entire exhibition to two current superstars; it will run until the end of the year and was developed in close collaboration with Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.

At just 22 and 23 years of age, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are already making their mark on the exhibition world at the German Football Museum. That’s quite a statement! With our new blockbuster exhibition, we’re closer than ever to the pulse of the times. The way we’re showcasing Jamal and Florian in the museum is as spectacular as their playing itself.”

In this immersive installation, a 1,000 m² exhibition space is transformed into a powerful visual environment featuring multiple projections. The story of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz is brought to life across a large scale through high-resolution film footage, photographs, comic strips, in-house animations and extraordinary exhibits. Noises, sounds and tones capture the soundscape of today’s football world. This blockbuster exhibition straddles the boundary between digital and analogue exhibition design, between film and performance. Visitors experience Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz from a completely new perspective – they experience the vibe of the national team’s two biggest stars of the moment. Complementing, but separate from, the large-scale production, the German Football Museum is presenting the gallery exhibition ‘Live Your Dream!’ The story of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, designed as a walk-through graphic novel that spans from the past into the future. The German Football Museum celebrated the exhibition’s premiere with a new, youth-focused opening format: exclusively for 400 children and young people, who were able to apply for the event alongside their families.
