Children’s birthday party: Fun at the adventure park by the main station
What’s there to discover on your adventurous tour through the exhibition? Quite simply: the wide world of football, with plenty of stories about the many fantastic achievements of our women’s and men’s national teams. What do all this have to do with gleaming trophies, unforgettable goals and original jerseys, along with combination locks, spray cans, a recording studio, a 3D cinema and a phone box? Rally: In Search of the Lost Treasure
Dear birthday boy or girl, we’re delighted that you’d like to celebrate your special day with us. We urgently need your help – and that of your guests!
Our museum has been burgled and we need to set out in search of the missing item as soon as possible. The thief has left a letter containing a few hidden clues. Can you solve the puzzles? In any case, the individual tasks will take you all over the exhibition. There’s something exciting to discover at every stop. Your creativity, your skills and your teamwork will be put to the test as you try to track down the thief. It would be great if, by the end of your adventure, everything ended up back where it belongs.
There’s delicious food and a wide selection of drinks at your child’s birthday party at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. An overview of all the services:

- Parties can be booked for groups of seven children or more; maximum number of guests: 10

Can I bring a cake?
You are welcome to bring pre-packaged sweets. However, please do not bring any other food or drink. Please note that this is only permitted for booked children’s birthday parties.
Which allergens are found in food?
You can enquire about allergens in our food by contacting the catering team at the German Football Museum. Please email n11@fussballmuseum.de or call 0231 47 64 66 52, Tuesday to Sunday, 11.00–18.00.
Does the birthday boy or girl get free entry?
The birthday child does not receive a discount on the children’s birthday party.
How many accompanying persons are allowed free of charge?
Up to two accompanying persons are admitted free of charge.
Will the birthday boy or girl get a present?
We have a surprise for every birthday child – provided they’re part of a booked children’s birthday party group.
How long does the birthday party last?
The birthday party lasts 2 hours.
I’ve seen that people celebrating their birthdays are featured on the LED façade. Where should I send the photo?
So that we can display a welcome message to the birthday boy or girl on the LED façade, please send your photo (at least 1 MB and in landscape format) at least seven days before your party, along with the birthday child’s full name (first name and surname), to museumspaedagogik@fussballmuseum.de
Is there a minimum number of participants, and what is the maximum number of children who can take part in the party?
A minimum of seven tickets for children must be booked. We can accommodate up to 15 children, depending on the programme chosen.

I’m not sure how many children will be coming to the birthday party. What should I book?
If you want to secure a place in good time, please book the minimum number of seven children. If the number of your guests changes, please email us at museumspaedagogik@fussballmuseum.de two days before your birthday party. Unfortunately, our terms and conditions do not allow for refunds on tickets once purchased.
Can the children use the small playing pitch? Do they need sportswear to do so?
After the museum treasure hunt, you can use our outdoor playing field, subject to availability. You don’t need to bring any sportswear. You can play on the field in street shoes. Please do not bring studded boots. In autumn and winter, we recommend bringing a spare shirt.
What’s the programme for the children’s birthday party?
Once the welcome is over, the adventure begins. You can choose between the ‘In Search of the Lost Treasure’ rally or the interactive guided tour ‘In the Footsteps of the Pros’. This is followed by the birthday meal.
How can I book a children’s birthday party?
Please book your birthday party via our ticket shop. Once you’ve entered the number of guests, the available start times for your chosen date will appear. If you do not have access to any of the payment methods, please contact our ticket service at ticketservice@fussballmuseum.de or on 0231 2222 1954, Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.
