Thousands of school pupils have already spent an exciting project day at the German Football Museum. Away from their usual surroundings, they have learnt how stereotypes can turn into prejudices and how quickly discriminatory behaviour can become racism. They come to realise that people with blonde hair are no more ‘German’ than those with roots abroad or from different cultural backgrounds. In our free workshops for school groups, we explore aspects of political education in an engaging way. Engaging with such socially relevant topics in a new and interesting setting is an experience not just for football fans.
