Travelling by train: Right next to Dortmund Central Station

We recommend travelling by Deutsche Bahn! You’ll find the German Football Museum directly opposite Dortmund Central Station. Please use the main exit, not the north exit, which leads away from the museum.

For tram passengers, the best stop is Hauptbahnhof. However, the underground stations at Kampstraße and Westentor are also very close to the German Football Museum! Please note that you’ll need to buy a ticket for your journey, as a VRR ticket isn’t included in the museum admission price.

        Travelling by bike

Fancy coming by bike? We think that’s brilliant! You can park your bike easily and securely at the bike station at the main railway station, directly opposite the museum. If you have an e-bike, you can even charge it here. The fee for the bike station is 1 euro for the whole day. In return, you’ll get a 1-euro discount on your ticket at our ticket office.

You can find more information about the bike station here.

The discount is only available when purchasing a ticket directly at the ticket office and applies to all ticket types for paying visitors.

        , 44137 Dortmund

In older sat-nav systems, simply enter ‘Dortmund Hauptbahnhof’ as your destination, or ‘Königswall 15, 44137 Dortmund’. Dortmund city centre is easily accessible by car via the A1, A2, A40 and A45 motorways, as well as the B1, B54 and B236 main roads.

Parking is available in the underground car park at the main station. We reserve parking spaces behind the museum for people with reduced mobility (with the relevant permit). The bus park is also located there.

Coach car park: Groups benefit from an ideal parking facility for coaches

[Translate to Englisch:] Der Busparkplatz hinter dem Fußballmuseum als Grafik

Travelling by coach is particularly convenient for groups. This is because there is a large coach park available directly behind the German Football Museum. You can alight in comfort and reach the main entrance to our interactive exhibition in just a few metres. It couldn’t be any closer.

To reach the coach park, take Königswall in Dortmund; please turn right ‘in front of the museum’.

A request to coach drivers: please reverse into a parking space parallel to the road so that there is enough space for all coaches and you can drive out forwards with ease. We’ll be happy to answer any queries by email at ticketservice@fussballmuseum.de
