Football and fun at the German Football Museum
A museum – not a place where you can have fun?! Oh yes, it is. The German Football Museum is a world of adventure for the whole family. Kicking a ball about, playing games, having fun – that’s what matters to us. Skill and football: there’s far more action here than you might think.
Outdoor playing area, table football, skill games and more
Grab the ball and show everyone on the outdoor pitch that you’ve got what it takes to be a football star. It’s located on the museum forecourt. Here you can show off your skills with the ball and work up a sweat.
At the table football table, it’s all about your hand-eye co-ordination. Challenge your friends to a match and find out who’s the king or queen of table football.
During the holidays, we have lots of programmes and special activities for children. Check our holidays page for the latest updates, or ask at the ticket desk when you visit the museum.
Commentators’ box, bicycle kicks & action at the exhibition
Commentating on a football match isn’t as easy as it looks. In our press box, you can practise to your heart’s content and save your voice recordings to download. You should definitely capture your bicycle kick skills on camera. Just throw yourself backwards into the air – we’ll give you a bit of a helping hand – and in no time you’ll feel just like Klaus Fischer did back in the day. The legendary FC Schalke 04 striker scored some of the most spectacular goals in football history using this technique.
You can put all your football knowledge to the test at our quiz stations. How well do you know Herberger’s famous sayings, what do you know about the German national team’s last World Cup victory, and which football rules do you know off by heart? Find out at the touch of a button.
