3D cinema: A perfect illusion thanks to magical projection

Leroy Sané, a Germany international playing for FC Bayern Munich, takes you on a journey through German football history in our 3D cinema. You’ll stop off in Bern, Munich, Rome and Rio. You’ll meet Paul Breitner and Philipp Lahm, Joachim Löw and Sepp Herberger. This brings the key moments of the four World Cup victories in 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014 back to life.

Thanks to special hologram technology, you’ll feel as though you’re right there in the thick of it. This technique, named ‘Pepper’s ghost’ after John Pepper, uses mirrors to create the impression that the superstars are actually there in person – the stage is real, but the film is projected onto a transparent screen in front of it. Thanks to this magical projection, you’ve probably never been this close to the football legends before!
